College trips are amazing, not only do they allow a break and exposure but also a great opportunity to bond with your classmates and teachers. You might be thinking why I am writing something about college trip, but to be honest, it means a lot to me because I am a lazy kind of person. I do a lot of work no doubt but I don’t like going anywhere because like millions of others I love being in my comfort zone. To be honest with you guys I have been in Delhi for about 2 years now and I haven’t been to many places. Well as far as I can recall I have only been to Humayus tomb with my pg mates and that was too long ago. But after this trip, I realized what I was missing and why I should go out more.
Well to start with I was planning to start my vlogging journey with this trip, but after seeing the videos that I shot I realized I suck at vlogging maybe I will try it some other time. I am gonna write it like a report may be more of a diary entry and I hope not to bore you and I am sorry for all these grammatical errors and spelling mistakes that I will be making because I don’t have a lot of time to write this and I don’t want to postpone it for later.
I am doing a professional course and the most important thing about being a professional is that you need to have contacts, but unfortunately on this competitive world we are more focused in ourselves and we forget to check our surroundings, we are living so that we could die one day, it’s like being a train buggy without an engine. Sorry, I got deviated from my topic, so I was telling you guys about that trip. Well, my college planned a trip to Mughal Garden and Qutub Minar for 1st and 2nd-year students, though it was not compulsory we have a good number of students who joined us on this trip.
We all were asked to be in our college at around 9 and in total, we were 32 students accompanied by 6 teachers, we started our journey at around 9:15, though it was meant to be a historical visit your life is what you make of it and whats life without some fun, right? As we all were going on a bus, I thought it would all go boring but my creative classmates decided to play dumb charades and even our teachers joined us. Seeing us play the 1st year decided to do the same, but this would have meant zero interaction so we started playing antakshari ( A song game) and we played it like the 1st year vs 2nd year, it was really fun playing antakshari as everyone was having a good time and we found out some hidden talents amongst us.
We soon arrived at our 1st destination i.e. Mughal Garden. Talking something about Mughal Garden, Mughal garden is like a personal garden to the President of India and contains different varieties of flowers, it only opens to the general public for about a month during February when these flowers bloom. We reached there, the level of frisking and security is so high that you can’t even carry your headphones; I was a little frustrated for depositing my headphones in the cloakroom but well democracy means having great security for certain individuals. Moving further, it was a great place, maybe the best place in Delhi because it was somewhere where I wanted to breathe, I think it is the only place in Delhi where you could breathe fresh air. We got to see various varieties of flowers and different fountains, we clicked a lot of photos and I will be adding some of them here as well.
After spending about an hour we furthered with our journey to Qutub Minar. I was really hungry as I hadn’t had my breakfast and it was already midday and it was to the way to Qutub Minar where we got our lunch boxes, it was very tasty. As everyone was tired most of the students were napping while others were talking. We finally reached Qutub Minar at around 3 and we hired a guide, who told us about the historical significance of the great monument. I was amazed seeing the Mughal architecture as well as the iron pillar ( the pillar without rust) it was a great experience seeing all that, I will write another blog sometime talking about the historical significance of these monuments. And after clicking some photographs and seeing around we finally got back. We reached back to college at around 6:30.
It was such an amazing experience that I will never forget. I realized that day that the world is very beautiful and the knowledge that these people had was very amazing, I don’t think so that we could create any more monuments like that were erected by our ancestors but we sure could preserve them and tell our generations to do the same. Sorry for all the errors, I relay don’t have time to write a proper piece but I think I would have written okayish. See you later.
